You can add a new financial domain for your organization or for the different departments or projects (both referred as sub-units). You can perform any of the following tasks for a financial domain:
Assign the cloud service provider accounts to the domain
Select the existing cloud service provider tags to assign them to the domain
Select the existing container services to assign them to the domain
Select the existing cloud native services to assign them to the domain
Select the existing resources and resource groups to assign them to the domain
For services that are shared between two or more departments, you can create a shared domain with the common services or resources that are shared between different departments. You can then define financial domains for the required departments and add the shared domain in the Shared Domains tab and specify the allocation in percentage for each financial domain.
You can add a service domain under your organization. In such scenario, utilization costs are identified based on the resource allocation under the organization.
Note: You cannot add a service domain under any financial domain.
Aquila Clouds FinOps automatically creates a financial domain for each environment of cloud service provider configured in Aquila Clouds FinOps. You can also use Auto Create to automatically create financial domains for each sub accounts in the environment of cloud service provider.
Note: You cannot manage resources for an automatically created financial domain.
