Description to Product Name mapping for ConnectWise PSA, formerly Manage

Each addition in a customer bill in ConnectWise PSA, formerly Manage, requires a Product Name, cost, price and quantity. It is essential for the users to map the product names to the descriptions (categories or SKU names).

Note that different agent types would result in different aggregation of data forming different descriptions. Refer to the Integration configuration instructions on how to select the agent type.

From the left navigation menu, go to Administration > ERP Configuration > Description to Product Name Mapping.

On this page, you will find three sections:

1. Cloud Consumptions

2. Office Consumptions

3. Managed Services

Each section has descriptions pre-populated from the rolled up data or the managed services configured in Product Catalog. The product names in the 3rd column are fetched from ConnectWise PSA, and you can select the one desired for mapping.

Note that there is a checkbox “Update ERP”. If this checkbox is checked, BillOps will create the descriptions and/or the product names by user input in ConnectWise PSA as well. If not checked, we presume that the descriptions and/or the product names are already pre-populated in ConnectWise PSA.
