You can create a rate pack that can be used for a customer or a group of customersdefine a Rate pack to provide a monthly (bulk) rate for a list of related resources. You can define a rate pack for one or more resource. You can set item specific rates and set any resource as primary resource.relationship that can be primary, secondary or a flat list. You can set the primary secondary relationship of resources to offer the secondary resources at a discounted price based on the primary resource. For instance, you can define a VM with 4 CPU, 16 GB RAM treated as the primary resource valued at a monthly price of 100 USD and offer discount on 100 GB of storage of a certain type with 300 IOPS as the secondary resource.

Alternately, you can set a flat list to bundle up a collection of resources at specified rates.

  1. On the side navigation bar, select the PRODUCT CATALOG tab, and click Rate Packs.
    Alternately to view the rate packs, on the side navigation bar, select the CSP Billing tab > Overview and for the required customer click in the Overview column, click Go To Bill > Product Catalog (on the top right corner) and select Rate Packs.
    Aquila Clouds displays the available rate packs on the Product Catalog page.

  2. In the ACTION list, select Item > Add.
    Aquila Clouds displays the Add Rate Pack page.

  3. Enter the following details.

    • Pack Name: Enter the name for the rate pack.

    • Environment Type: Select the required environment type from the list.

    • Currency: Select the required currency from the list.

    • Comment: Enter comments if any for this rate pack.

    • 1: For the first resource set the following values.

      • Primary: Toggle this field to On if this resource is the primary resource in the rate pack. The total rate of the rate pack is mainly based on Primary resource.

      • Category: Select the required category of cloud resources being used by the end-customers. This makes it possible to use this rate pack for all customers using the selected category of resources.

      • SubCategory: Select the required sub-category of cloud resource being used by the end-customers. Options in this list are displayed according to the option selected in the Category list.

      • Name: Select the name of the required resource being used by the end-customer. Options in this list are displayed according to the option selected in the SubCategory list.

      • Unit: Select the unit from the list for which the billing rate is applicable. For instance, if you want to specify hourly billing rate for a Standard Node of Advanced Data Security > SQL Database, select Hourly from the list.

      • Included Quantity: Specify the quantity of the selected resource by default included in the rate pack without any additional rate.

      • Pricing Model: Select the required pricing model from the list i.e. Amount or Slab. You can use Amount to define uniform rate for any quantity of the resource utilized in the pack item. You can use Slab to define different rates for different slabs for instance for virtual machines you can set a different slab rate for 0 - 10 virtual machines and different slab rate for 10 - 50 virtual machines.

      • + Add: Click to add/modify slab rates. You can add one or more slabs or delete an existing slab. This option is available only if Slab is selected as the Pricing Model.

        • Slab 1: Modify the quantity of resources for the slab.

        • Rate: Modify the rate for the selected slab.

    • +: Click to add more pack items to the rate pack. You can use this option to add more than one resource in the pack.

    • x: Click to delete the required resource set.

  4. Click Apply.
