Aquila Clouds platform enables you to define a price line for any resource utilization by any customer or you can modify and reuse any existing price line. Whenever you modify any price line, Aquila Clouds creates another version of the price line with the same name instead of overwriting the existing price line. This enables you to view and use the old prices if they are still applicable.
To create a Price Line:
On the side navigation bar, select the CSP BILLING tab, and click Billing Summary.
Aquila Clouds displays the Billing Summary page.
On the top right corner, click Product Catalog and select Rate Lines.
In the ACTION list, select Item > Add.
Aquila Clouds displays the Add Price Line page.
Enter the following details.
Environment Type: Select the required environment type from the list.
Currency: Select the required currency from the list.
Region: Select the required geographical region for the rate card from the list.
Category: Select the required category of the cloud resources being used by the end-customers. This makes it possible to use this rate card for all customers using the selected category of resources.
SubCategory: Select the required sub-category of the cloud resource being used by the end-customers. Options in this list are displayed according to the option selected in the Category list.
Name: Select the name of the required resource being used by the end-customer. Options in this list are displayed according to the option selected in the Sub-Category list.
Pricing Model: Select the required pricing model from the list such i.e. Amount or Slab.
Unit: Select the required unit from the list. For instance, if you want to specify hourly billing rate for a Standard Node of Advanced Data Security > SQL Database, select Hourly from the list.
Included Quantity: Enter the quantity of resources for which this price line is applicable.
Current Amount: Enter the current amount that is applicable for the selected quantity of resources. This option is available only if Amount is selected as the Pricing Model.
Adjustment:
Operator: Select the oper̥ator for the adjustment value that will be applied on the current amount.
Currency or percentage: Select currency or percentage to apply for the adjustment value that will be applied on the current amount.
Value: Define the value of the adjustment amount that will applied on the current amount.
New Amount: Aquila Clouds displays the new amount that is applicable for the selected quantity of resources. This amount is calculated using the amount defined in the Current Amount field and Adjustment field. This option is displayed only if Amount is selected as the Pricing Model.
Comment: Enter comments if any for this price line.
Click Apply.
Aquila Clouds creates the price line with the required details.
