There are two types of invoice representations (see below):
Verbose Mode
The bill in this mode shows the granular data directly from the environment (data source), with the quantity of each combination of category, subcategory, and name shown.
This is also for BillOps users who do not have any data aggregated for ERP.
Aggregated Mode for ERP
The bill in this mode shows the data aggregated according to the category. There are four sections in the bill
Cloud Consumptions
This is where the aggregated cloud consumptions are shown. Note that for any of the consumptions or managed services to be pushed to the backend ERP, the product names need to be mapped. You can easily go to the “description to product name mapping” page by clicking on any entry in the Product Name column. See the instruction on adding product name mapping for more details.
In this table, you will find the following columns:
Product Name (A.K.A. Product ID)
Description (This is the category against which the data are rolled up)
Quantity (Typically 1, since for some categories the units may vary for some subcategories and names and we cannot aggregate them)
Unit Cost - unit cost before any adjustments such as gross margins
Total Cost - total cost before any adjustments such as gross margins
Unit Price - unit price after all the adjustments that have been applied (e.g. gross margins). To add a gross margin, see the Product Catalog documentation for more details.
Total Price - total price after all the adjustments that have been applied (e.g. gross margins)
Office Consumptions
The Azure Office consumptions are shown in this table. Refer to Cloud Consumptions above for the details.
Managed Service Consumptions
The managed services are shown this table. Refer to Cloud Consumptions above for the details. To add a managed service, see the Product Catalog documentation for more details.
Product Catalog Rules
This section encapsulates the product catalog rules that have been applied to this bill for the user to refer to.
