Aquila Clouds platform enables you to define a rate line to be charged for any resource utilization by any customer or you can modify and reuse any existing rate line. You can use a slab based or an amount based pricing model. A slab based model enables you to charge for resources based on utilization volume. For instance, for an instance you can define a slab forĀ 1 to 10 GB of bandwidth utilization at 1 Rs/GB and define another slab for 11 to 100 GB of bandwidth utilization at 0.50 Rs/GB. The slabs are specified by the lower end of th slab that you wish to define. In this case
first slab would be 1 and second would 11 so automatically 1-10 becomes the first slab and 11 onwards the second slab and so on.
Rate lines are generically added in the product catalog. They can then be applied to customers to create rate cards for those customers specifically. Once applied to a customer the rate card
can be changed without affecting other customers. For more details about how to apply a rate line to a customer, see Apply a Product Catalog option to a customer. For more details about how to edit a rate card for a customer, see Managing customer specific rate cards.
