When recommending savings on networks, there are two resource types that optimizations are suggested for. The first is Unmapped ELB and the second is Idle IP address.
Unmapped ELBs
Recommendations for unmapped ELBs are given when they are still incurring basic usage costs with no new requests being sent or with any associated network costs on a monthly basis.
The calculation for savings on unmapped ELBs are the (current MTD spend / current day of the month) * 365.
Idle IP Addresses
Recommendations for idle ip addresses are given when there are ip addresses that are not attached to any instances, but are still incurring costs.
The calculation for savings on idle IP addresses are the (current MTD spend / current day of the month) * 365.
