Managing container registry

You can view the registry details of containers on the Container Registry page. This page displays the following details:

  • Region of any container registry

  • Indicates if the container has been replicated in any other region

  • Spend forecast

  • Repository list

You can access the repository list containing details of all available images for any registry and apply a life cycle policy to multiple images of the same type. This enables you to simultaneously archive multiple images by applying a common life cycle policy.

This topic explains you how to:

Viewing the Container Registry page and replications

  1. On the side navigation bar, select the GOVERNANCE tab, and click Container Registry.
    Aquila Clouds displays the Container Registry page with the tag details displayed for the organization.

     

  2. (Optional) From the filter, select the required department to view the container registry for the required department.

  3. (Optional) Click Download to download the CSV file with details of the container registries displayed for the selected organization or department.

  4. Click View for the required container registry to open the View page displaying replication details for the selected container register. Aquila Clouds lists the regions in which the container registry is replicated (listed only if the selected container registry is replicated).

Applying the lifecycle policy to a registry image

  1. On the side navigation bar, select the GOVERNANCE tab, and click Container Registry.
    Aquila Clouds displays the Container Registry page with the tag details displayed for the organization.

     

  2. Click Repository List for the required registry.
    Aquila Clouds displays the Registry Details page with the list of all images available in the selected registry.

  3. You can:

    • For any image in the Life Cycle Policy column, click the following icon.

      OR

    • For the required images, select the check box and in the ACTION list, select Item > Apply Life Cycle Policy.
      Aquila Clouds displays the Life Cycle Policy Details page.

  4. Enter the following details.

    • Rule Priority: Specify the rule priority.

    • Rule Description: Type the description for the rule.

    • Image Status: Select the status for the image indicating whether the image is tagged or untagged.

    • Tag Prefix: Specify the tag prefix for the selected image.

    • Match Criteria: Select the required criteria from the list.

    • Days: Specify the number of days for which the policy is applicable.

    • Execute Time: Select a date and time on which this new life cycle policy should be applied.

  5. Click Apply.
